Audio Port
An item that is constructed with access ports to accommodate personal audio device and headset.

Bleed
Bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the item.
Breathable
Technical finishes allow moisture to be transferred to the outside of the garment.

Custom
Items made specifically for individual customer's needs.

Debossed
To indent text or a logo into the surface of an item.

Easy Care
Garments that can be machine washed and tumbled dry with little to no ironing.
ECO Friendly
Items made from organic, sustainable, renewable, or recycled fibers.
Embossed
To decorate a surface with raised design.
Embroidery
The art of working designs in threads of polyester or cotton upon woven fabric (shirts, jackets, hats, etc.) with a needle.
Engraved
To cut, bite, or corrode a design or logo into a surface.

Fitted
A sleek modern silhouette featuring an athletic inspired shape.
Full color process
Using dot layers to create a full color logo from 4 or 6 base colors. It is also known as spot color.
Flex Fit
Caps fitted with elastic and come in 2 sizes, S/M and L/XL
FOB
Freight on Board, in reference to the point where the freight is originating from.
Font
A complete assortment of type, style and size.

Hard Goods
Goods that are not consumed or destroyed in use and can be used for a period of time, usually three or more years, and are typically not printed in house.

Inventoried blank goods.

Moisture Wicking
Special yarns or fabric finishes transfer moisture to the outer surface to keep you dry and comfortable.

Overseas
Purchasing items over, across, or beyond the sea; abroad; many custom orders are purchased overseas.

Pad Print
A printing process that can transfer a 2-D image onto a 3-D object. This is accomplished using an indirect offset printing process that involves an image being transferred from the printing plate, via a silicone pad, onto a surface to be printed.
Plate Charge
The dollar amount charged per color printed.
PMS / Color Match
Ad Wear uses the Pantone Matching System (PMS) for color matching. The idea behind the PMS is to allow designers to 'color match' specific colors when a design enters production stage.
